THE

WHITE

GARDEN

The last garden is my garden, which is actually a series of gardens surrounding our home.  Part laboratory, part refuge and always a work-in-progress, these gardens are where I test my ideas, celebrate my successes, learn from my failures and where I go to break all the rules as a gardener.

Over the past fifteen years, the property has been transformed to feature a formal white garden, complete with geometric parterres; an elevated stone terrace overlooking the white garden; a pastel perennial garden greeting visitors along the drive; a formal entry court; a Japanese-inspired shade garden; and a "black" border juxtaposing the white garden at its west edge.
